Camping in a stylish tent, with super-comfortable beds, all prepared for your arrival is at the heart of the new Flash Camp @ Kakadu accommodation, which will launch in July for the Kakadu dry season.

‘Flash Camp @ Kakadu’ will offer bespoke bell tent accommodation in the heart of Kakadu National Park, for those seeking an effortless camping experience while exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Listed site.
Accommodation will include double, twin and family bell tents with spring-foam mattresses on pallet bases, quality bed linen, fresh towels, bamboo furniture, toiletries and Armadillo & Co rugs.
Guests will also have access to newly renovated toilet and shower facilities, barbeques, as well as a restaurant, bar and pool at the adjoining Cooinda Lodge.

“Flash Camp will deliver a memorable experience for those looking for something more upmarket than a traditional camping option,” said Brett Skinner, General Manager of Cooinda Lodge, which is jointly managed and staffed by Kakadu Tourism and Accor Hotels.

“It offers the perfect balance of comfort and reconnection with nature; conveniently positioned in our campground, it is a great base for families, couples and groups to experience the iconic Yellow Water Wetlands Cruise and explore southern Kakadu attractions.

“We also plan to host incentive groups, where we will offer special tour packages and other unique add-ons such as Spirit of Kakadu 4WD Adventure Tours, Fishing on Yellow Water and Indigenous-themed stargazing cruises.”
Flash Camp CEO, Cameron Arnold, says the collaborative venture with Kakadu Tourism and Accor Hotels will provide an opportunity to introduce a new sustainable accommodation offering to the region.

“It is exciting for everyone involved to be able to offer a hassle-free, low impact camping experience in the heart of one of Australia’s most environmentally and culturally rich destinations,” Arnold said.
Cooinda Camping Ground, located next to Yellow Water Billabong in the centre of Kakadu National Park, is a three hour drive from Darwin.

‘Flash Camp @ Kakadu’ rates start at $140 per night. For more information and bookings, visit: https://www.kakadutourism.com/accommodation or phone: (08) 8979 1500.
